Everything for me started as self-help. I never intended to create books or music; it was just something I stumbled upon and started doing for fun, but it became a way to heal myself mentally.
The Healing Power of Writing:
In the moments of writing, I hit a stride, and the words just flow out of me without even thinking. It's a feeling hard to explain, but I call it speaking through my soul.
Books Born from the Soul:
This led to living through my soul, resulting in the creation of the *Living with Purpose* book.
Next came the "I'm at war with the world; I'm at peace with my soul" mentality, which inspired the *Climbing Out the Grave* book.
Self-Perception and Choices:
I believe how you feel about yourself is the determining factor in life. At some moments, I didn't feel proud of myself, and other times I did, but both led me to make bad choices. It's about accepting those choices and living with them. Life's ups and downs can sometimes make you forget who you are.
Adaptation and Growth:
Plenty of times, I've gotten caught up in the moment or wrapped in the role of a character I had to be in different stages of life to survive. Whether in the streets or in a job setting, you have to learn how to adapt.
However, to grow, you have to let things go. It starts with shedding those old characters or roles we are used to playing. They don't serve the new role we want to play or the new character we want to become, which for me, is the best version of myself that I can be.
The Phoenix Metaphor:
I imagine in a movie where someone is hanging on the edge of a cliff by their fingertips, afraid to let go, afraid to fall, afraid to die. They can't hold on any longer; they fall to their death, but then suddenly they rise again like a phoenix bursting into flames.
When I think of that, there are a few things that come to mind. The main one is that within the falling, facing your fears, and within the death and rebirth, you become who you are truly supposed to be.
Letting Go:
But I also think if you knew what you would become, would you fight so hard to hold on, or would you just let go?
Let go of the insecurities and the doubts.
Let go of the fear of being judged in a negative way.
Let go of the lying, the stealing, the cheating—all the destructive habits you adapted along the way just to survive.
Let go of trying to please others.
Let go of your foolish pride.
Let go of this material world to gain your soul,
to gain your peace of mind,
to create your heaven on this earth.
